Cathy's post on the LC position at a Peds office made me remember another
situation.

I met a woman who is Nursing director, she also supervises a prenatal
clinic, and also supervises the NICU. Soon it was clear she could not be
reached - ever. Everyone was angry at her because she was not available.

Finally someone mentioned: that's because she's a woman. If she were a
man, she would have refused the additional jobs without additional help!

Well, that's not always true, but more often than not I see that we start
one job, people find we are good at that - so another job "similar' to the
first is added - and we stretch and do that one, too. Then another and
another is added - until we are not pleased with what we are doing - even
though we KNOW how to do it all, we CAN'T do it all.

Let's watch out for each other - and help each other realize when we are
asking too much of ourselves.
