A person who does breast surgery and doesn't want to "have milk around" when doing his work had probably been better off being a plumber, in my not so humble opinion.
There is absolutely no medical reason to wean in order to perform any surgery in the breast. Mom can have baby or pump make the breasts as empty as possible right before surgery. Human milk around any operation site will aid healing and help prevent infection.

is reluctant to wean and will not be milk free in 4 days. In your experience 
how can she continue to breastfeed through this and what should she expect ?
