I am continuing to educate myself about milk cultures for NICU babies
and I appreciate all the helpful responses I've gotten from people. I
have three more questions - does anyone know how I can get in touch with
Paula Meier these days as she may be helpful to me? Also, if you do
cultures on breastmilk please e-mail me (I can't find anyone that does)
and tell me how you respond to positive cultures. Lastly, I have read
published case reports of infants who have ingested breast milk with a
positive Klebsiela culture and died and I have read research saying this
is rarely a significant pathogen (no morbid sequelae) - any insight on
this discrepancy? Thanks! Cindy Dexter ([log in to unmask])
