 from t hale:

omeprazole is a potent inhibitor of gastric acid secretion. the secretion
of omeprozole into human milk is unreported but it is likely to be minimal.
in rodent studies, high doses(35X) produced decreased weight gain in pups,
however comparison to humans in unknown. This drug is not generally
recomeened in nursing mothers, but the drug is very safe and has few side
effects. capsules are delayed releasee, omeprazole is extremely acid lible.
significant quantities may be destroyed in the stomach prior to absorption in
the upper intestine. see famotidine or nizaatidine as better choices.
