If you can let the baby's head fall back naturally (no hands behind baby's
head), the baby's tongue will usually naturally fall to the bottom of the
baby's mouth, and the mouth tends to open wider as well. I have found that
this will sometimes help even those babies who seem to have their tongues
glued to the roof of their mouths!
