My dear husband-the-pharmacist says that the amount of systemic absorption of
creams (in general), including steroid creams, is minimal compared to oral
ingestion.  Same goes for nasal sprays such as Afrin.  He doesn't see any
problem with using a topical preparation when bf.  And if he EVER said, "I
wouldn't let MY WIFE do something...." in response to a client question, the
fallout would not be pretty.  I absolutely HATE that type of patronizing
response.  I feel a soapbox coming, so I'll stop.....
