I am very surprised that crib cards supplied by the formula manufacturers are
being used - these are *Gifts* (said with clenched teeth )(Bah!) that are not
so free, yet another way staff have been duped by these clever firms.
Hospital management rub their hands in glee - something else they do not have
to pay for - get the foolish punters to pay indirectly without us laying out a
penny  - and we can keep them (manufacturers)(for reasons kept quiet by
Hospital management) sweet by helping fill their coffers and make money for
their shareholders.

Sadly, it is also a sign that the hospital/staff think that the baby is
HOSPITAL PROPERTY and that they can feed the baby whatever they like, whenever
they like.  It then forces concerned members of staff and parents to have to
put a label in the cot to say how the baby is being fed and to put
breastfeeding women on the defensive.  If the hospital was anywhere near 'Baby
Friendly' status none of this would be necessary.

A label in a cot, even if it has no sign of how that baby is being fed but has
dob, etc., is a useless exercise, open to all sorts of mistakes.  If anyone
thinks that they are identifying the baby, they are not, they are identifying
the cot !
