Hello there
am catching up on Lacnet after a few days away, so this may be redundant
now, but there is a video I often loan families to prepare siblings for birth.
"A sister for Hugo".
It is a home birth, no narration, just the family and midwife and doctor's
conversation.
It is very gentle, not lots of bare bottoms and blood, but is realistic.
It shows the brother (Hugo) interacting with the baby, early bf, placenta,
baby examined by the GP, etc etc.
It is a New Zealand video, but I think it is not culturally inappropriate to
the USA - but then I've never seen a birth there!
My own children watched it lots when I was pregnant with #'s 2 and 3, it was
nearly as popular as "Winnie the Pooh".

It was made about 8 years ago, so I hope it is still available. Let me know
if you are interested and I will get the details to you.
