I like to use the (size 2, medium flow) Nuk nipple sometimes, but with
the baby's lips on the fat base of the nipple, very near the collar that
holds it to the bottle.  Then the silly little squished nipple is at the
back of the baby's mouth, and the tongue is pressing on the base of the
nipple.  I agree with Barbara that if it's introduced into the mouth the
way the manufacturer intended, it's far from optimal.
