Here is the problem: there is no FDA minimal standard as far as effectiveness for breast pumps. IT's buyer beware.

Subject: Insurance and breast Pumps

I'm sure most of you have already been asked by clients "Which is the best pump out of the choices my Insurance company offers". I'm just starting to get a lot of these calls and many of the pump companies I've never heard of! Ex: today it was "Lucina and Rumble"

Ethically I do not have a problem with the questions, but wondering about IBCLC's answers. Even if we are not financially involved with the company, how would we know if they are WHO compliant, etc. issues that mean a lot to us

Plus that voice in my head is saying..."how did these breastpump companies align with Insurance providers??""

Please let me know what your answer is to our Moms that look to us for assistance?

Thanks

Debi
