A nursing woman contacted me at 9 weeks of pregnancy after the news that she is experiencing an anembryonic pregnancy - a broken sack is visible on ultrasound but no fetus. However, she has yet to start bleeding and believes her milk supply is dropping rapidly. Her toddler nursling is beginning to get frustrated at the breast. She was told it could take a few weeks for her to miscarry without intervention. Any thoughts on whether this could permanently compromise her milk supply?
