Hi
?
In an effort to address barriers to keeping moms and babies together for the first few hours following birth we are looking at changing the Vit K and Ilotycin policy from one hour to two hours.? I know this would put less stress on the nurse to get it done.? Does anyone have any research on this?? (I am trying to get the nurses to give the shot with the baby on mom too.)
?
We are also looking for a cd that could loop in the prenatal clinic on the advantages of breastfeeding.? The clinic here has a very diverse ethnic population and many of the moms come in to the hospital saying they want to do both.
TIA
