Dear Dr. Elizabeth,
The best thing you could do is take your baby with you. Let them see you
with your baby whenever possible. Let them see good mothering from their
respected instructor, who is also a doctor. Nurse in front of them every
chance you get. At the very least show them pictures of you nursing your
babies at various ages. Teach some of your classes with your baby in a
sling type carrier. Let them see you carrying your breastpump with you and
let them know when you are going to pump. Let them see the milk, especially
how it separates. If you are really brazen, let them watch you pump!!! Let
them know every chance you get how important this is and the high priority it
has in YOUR busy, professional life.
Experience is the best teacher and you have a golden opportunity to let them
see the best in action. This opportunity won't come again until you have
another child.
Oh yes, some lectures would be good too.
Go for it. We're all behind you!
