This comment about The Coming Plague: Emerging Diseases in a World out of
Balance does belong on Lactnet... I read the book.  Excellent but
terrifying...all I could think throughout was how grateful I am that I
breastfed my kids.  Immune function is going to be more important than ever if
what was forecast in this book (new viruses, antibiotic resistant bacteria and
parasites) come to pass.  I wish she had covered failure to breastfeed as a
further risk factor in this society....
