Dear Lactnetters
        I love the quote by Camille Paglia from Salon magazine!
        To what extent does Breastfeeding, a utilitarian function,
resemble other *natural* activities?--some of which are publicly
permitted (eating, drinking) and some not (urination, defecation, sexual
intercourse).
        I had heard years ago that people who have a problem with pubic
breastfeeding think of it as either an excretory activity (do that in the
bathroom!) or as a sexual activity (go in
