Hi all,
A mom whose baby had been having blood in the diapers, had a battery of
tests, all ok, called, and is wondering about info on dairy free diets. Since
the tests were all neg, the supposition is that he is allergic to
substances(such as dairy) that come through into her milk. Also, she had been
basically dairy free and found flecks of blood despite this, so has been told
to also consider soy allergy as well-any info on soy and dairy free? Has
anyone had experience with these types of allergies, or diets which may help?
It is an unusual situation, but the docs involved now do feel that it may be
the cause of the intermittent bleeding the baby is having. Of course she is
also concerned about herself getting adequate nutrition, as nearly everything
she has come across has either dairy or soy or both, in some form or another.
Do you think there might be another food which is likely to be suspect in
this case, or another reason for the blood in the baby's stool?
Many thanks in advance!! My email is [log in to unmask] or
