Although I have received several interesting suggestions, I have
decided to steer clear of any kind of nuts - unsafe for kids, some
may be allergic, the image not liked.
The original idea was because so many of have referred to ourselves
as "Lactnuts". However, this is like an inside joke and would have
no relevance or send wrong signals for anyone not "on the inside".
Ribbons will be either Gold or Dark green, depending on what I hear
from LLLI regarding the colors they are already using.
Keep sending me your names if you will be at one or both so I'm sure
to make enough.
I have possible hitches for both conferences. My husband is having
sinus surgery the Monday before LLLI. He should be fine and a dear
friend has offered to be available if he needs anything, but if
there are any complications, I would, of course, stay home. The
second is that depending on the results of an ultrasound and a CT
scan, I may be facing surgery. Unless it is considered urgent, I
would wait until after ILCA. Hopefully, the original ultrasound
that caused the concern was a fluke since the GYN couldn't find
anything on his exam. In the event I can't make it to one or both,
I would pass the ribbons on to other Lactnetters I know locally.
