I never could really understand this.  BF gave me a whole new freedom.
Previously being a working person, having a baby who was bf meant that I
was at home rather than working, I never had to think about going out, or
plan in advance, I just took baby and breast (and a spare nappy and wipe in
my handbag if I remembered), and went to museums, parks, visiting friends,
shopping - anything, which I couldn't previously do! and then in the
evenings if I wanted to go out (and I did) without him, just left him with
a baby sitter (as usual), with a bottle of ebm.  I always had an instant
answer to a cranky baby/child bm.
