I would imagine that this is related to the generally accepted premise in ob/gyn that hypoestrogenic states are associated with slower wound healing. Her surgeon is probably concerned that she would be at an increased risk for vaginal cuff dehiscence and  other wound breakdown. 

Perhaps she may be willing to allow your client to *carefully* use a product like vagifem, estrace, or Premarin (cream)?
