Jan (the cabbage queen) writes:

<Yes, I would recommend cabbage as it reduces the edema in the tissues
and often seems to act as an antiinflammatory agent as well. Moms report
it soothing and simply feels good as it reduces the swelling. >

Like I said, I still don't understand cabbage. Until or unless someone
can more fully explain the reason(s) for some mechanism responsible for
the actions attributed to it, I just feel foolish advising it. Does
anyone else have any experience that convinces them either pro or con?

I missed my perfect chance in 2003 when for a month, for hours every day,
I elevated my leg and kept a heating pad or alternately, an ice pack on
the cellulitis in my swollen knee after having emergency surgery to
remove a septic knee bursa.

Perhaps I will have to just have to have an adventurous spirit and ask a
swollen mother to help me, by using it on just one breast, and then
observe carefully what happens to both breasts.
