Perhaps a brand of bra pads, which she didn't wear before birth? Or
someone else doing the laundry, with a slightly different routine that
resulted in not all the detergent being rinsed out, or too much softener,
etc. One good place to start is an additional rinse of all her bras, with
1/2 cup of white vinegar added to that rinse. No softener in either
washer or dryer. The smell will evaporate during drying, either dryer or
line-drying. I use this treatment in every load of clothes I do. Cheap
and wrinkles come out just as well.
