I saw, I think it was, Laurie's great text but wrote this and it's another
way to approach too, so...
    I guess it might be good to start with the school person who put in the
video, and later answered questions, and ask if they thought the video covered
the subject of pubertal changes well, and maybe start a conversation with "
yes I liked how they handled the part about uteruses, {or whatever,} but with
all the new emphasis on breastfeeding for the health of mothers and babies, I
was hoping there would be information about breast maturation and readying for
feeding babies someday, too...." New York state has a breastfeeding curriculum
( though no one uses it as far as I can tell) and we know there are ways to
just plant the seeds, the idea that breasts are for feeding babies, though they
may reside in lacy bras, that is where they live, but not what they do...:)
The nurse's response to your light conversation may help you refine your
approach to the larger problem. This is one case we might have to team up with
midwives or something to make a decent video about puberty including breast
maturation...
