The baby will be born with whatever antibodies mother is making already, and
her milk will contain the exact antibodies to this particular infection.
Certainly no hospital in this country would dream of separating them because
of a trivial infectious illness like this in the mother, though we would
want them isolated from other mothers (and babies) and maybe even from the
staff!  Obviously she should have extra support in hospital if she is not
recovered, because being postpartum is enough work if you are in good
health.  Who will be bringing her chicken soup??

Good luck, here's hoping she is over the worst before labor begins.
