Melissa,
If you have been recommending to mom that she feed on one side at a time for
2-3 hour stretches before using the other side, and she has also tried having
baby nurse on top of her while mom is laying supine, then cabbage leaves just
might be in order, used judiciously. Also, sage tea can be experimented with;
I'd start with one cup a day, then work up a cup a day to no more than 2-4,
and see what effect this has on her supply. You are right to be wary of her
doing too much too early on, but if she is ready to quit, it may be the
lesser of two evils to pull these cards out from inside your sleeve. Good
