I just tested a pump with two different pressure gauges while showing
someone how to do it. One gauge was made by Medela, the other by Hollister.
I used each gauge on one pump to compare the readings. They both read the
same lower pressures, but on the highest vacuum setting, one read 240mm Hg
while the other one read 310mm! Are each gauge good only for their own
company's pumps, or should they be interchangeable? I've been using one
company's gauges to test both brands of pumps in my practice for years and
both company's pumps gave similar readings with the one gauge, so I've never
questioned this before.
