In a post I received today, Saturday, there is a mention of getting a
second opinion or checking out of the hospital AMA.  In the US, checking
out AMA means "against medical advice" and it is my understanding that
insurance companies will not pay for the hospital stay if they check out
AMA.  Be very careful if you are suggesting such.
