Although I know that Carol was reluctant to post the experiences of the
women using the Whisper Pump, I think that more information about the
ability of the pump to maintain and sustain milk supply is so important. I
work a lot with women who work outside of the home who are totally excited
about this pump. It means being able to add extra pumps while driving to and
from work. It means being able to pump discretely in bathrooms (if that's
the only place available at work), as well as many other wonderful things I
won't go into here. It opens up the ability to continue breastfeeding (or
not having to supplement with formula because of inability to pump as
frequently at work to provide for baby) while working outside home to many
women who did not have this as readily as an option before. The concept is
so exciting, but I am reluctant to suggest the pump until I have more
information about how well it maintains supply. So, I'd like to see more if
anyone has it. Was the pump tested and what were the results before putting
it on the market? I have no doubt that the pump has it's place, but before
recommending it as a substitute for something like the Pump in Style, I'd
like to have more information.
