Although I had my own privagte practice 15 years ago (and needed to get a
better income so went back to school to get my RN!) these days I let our
business office take care of this, so I don't know how we bill, or under
whose provider number. The business manager is on vacation so I can't ask
for a couple of weeks!

I got a provider number too, and made sure one of our other "non-official"
IBCLCs got hers too.

I wish you the  very best with your new clinic!! I think the climate is
changing on this - at least we seem to be getting more outpatients (after 5
years of ostensibly having a clinic).
