Hi, Just a question from down under about circumcision overseas - do the
patients have to pay extra to have it done or is it covered by their health
insurance? In my part of Australia (Queensland) public hospital patients can
not have a circumcision done whilst their baby is a newborn - they have to
get a referral to a surgeon or other doctor to do it once they have got out
of hospital. The private patients can get their obstetricians to do it on a
newborn but not all of them like doing it so some of them will refuse (the
private paediatricians don't do them either).
Regards,
Madeline Hall
