Elizabeth,

A couple of ideas for oversupply:
- judicious use of cabbage leaves
- sage tea (as mentioned on Lactnet previously)

Another solution I have seen a couple of times was use of a silicone nipple
shield to control fast flow. However, caution is needed with use of shields
bearing in mind their drawbacks - baby getting "hooked", not attaching
properly, etc. This is a tricky situation over the phone. I agree with your
suggestion to only express for comfort and enough for baby.
