Dear Friends:

There is a wide range of opinion about a variety of clinical issues in the
texts, as well as in clinical life. I encountered this when I prepared for
my first IBLCE-examination by reading Lawrence and by reading Riordan. There
were more discrepancies between those 2 major texts than I bothered to
count. I started laughing when I found them, after moving beyond
bewilderment and frustration.

The journal articles (that are often a year old by the time they make to
publication) are more current than the texts. But the exam is based on the
texts. Then there is the learning that comes with experience. Voila!: 3
different sources of information on a topic. What's the test taker to do?

Pass. That's enough.
