One Virginia hospital USED to give out food. One mom I knew got a bakery
cake box with chicken salad, a fruit salad, rolls, some kind of veggie
dish, cheese, crackers and cookies, too. Anyway, it was enough for at least
one main meal for two adults with plenty left over for a snack. I don't
think they do it anymore, though. Too bad!!

As far as bringing home pumps from the hospital, the rationale I often hear
is: If it's on your hospital bill, your insurance carrier usually picks it
up, but if you go to get one later, it may not. In particular, the Med---
hand pump which can be used with the electric rental unit.

I think sending moms home with a good meal or coupons for a healthy
take-out meal from a catering service/restaurant (NOT fast food) would be
fantastic.
