Large PP blood loss probably contributes to pituitary ischemia causing
decreased milk supply. PP hemorrhage can lead to pituitary infarction (such
as Sheehans syndrome) and no supply.  Anemia also contributes to low milk
supply.  Nice write up in Riordan & Auerbach, pp314-315 (1999) ed.
