This has been discussed, when the book came out.  It was at its height in August of 2002, week 3.  Click on that week in the archives and read to your heart's content.   I for one am not ready for a new round of that discussion.  Yes, there are issues.  Please do read the discussion in the archives.  It was a tortuous and exhaustive discussion.   If this is a new example of them doing it AGAIN, then fine, let's hash it out.  But if not, well, the list has BTDT.  

There is a closely related thread about giving lectures at events sponsored in their entirety by manufacturers of infant formula, in June 2003, week 3, with a really fine post by Liz Brooks, among others.  Worth reading too. 

Not trying to be curt, just trying to keep the list focused :-)  The archives are just lying there, waiting to be used!
