Last week I asked for help regarding a mom with a retained placental
fragment.  Many thanks to the wonderful responses I received.

To briefly recap, C-section Mom complained of lots of bleeding and
cramping and was feeling that baby wasn't getting enough. No one really
helped her. At her six-weeks check: Doc said, "nothing unusual, but
we'll do an ultrasound next week."  A few days later, mom was rushed
into ER and lo and behold, there was a placental fragment!  She had an
emergency D&C and was wondering when and if her milk would come in
"better."

The responses I received varied from, "overnight increase in milk" to "a
few days later."  This mom was incredibly committed to bf and nursed and
pumped around the clock.

Now, she is home recovering from the D&C and her milk production has
increased somewhat, although nothing spectacular.  She still thinks baby
is fussy, but nothing like before.

She is still nursing and pumping. A happy ending (beginning?) to a rough
start.
