I was an LLLL and an LC for a long time (still am, but as I don't work out of my
home now the separation is easier). In St. Louis, we seemed to have cooperation
between the other Leaders and me - I attended all the Leader's meetings so that
if there were any questions or problems, they could be discussed and cleared up
(there's nothing worse than people not speaking to each other - NOTHING GET
RESOLVED THAT WAY!) Yes, I was shouting - sorry, but it really gets my goat -
it reminds me of the second-graders "Let's not talk to "her" mentality.

 I used the folliowing criteria:

1. If the mom called me because of my name being on our group's (or chapter's)
list of resources, she was an LLL call, no charge.

2. If a Leader called to ask for help with a mom, I would help the Leader at no
charge, but if the mom needed to be seen, I would charge. (I would also
recommend that the Leader come with the mom so that everyone would learn the
same information.)

3. I was never a PL, but it seems that as Leaders (not moms) are supposed to
call the PL, this should make it clear which hat you're wearing when you do see
a mom.

Most of my LLL contacts were by telephone, so the personal visits were LC visits
unless there was a special situation (a mom from my group). As the liability is
different, it is important to let the mom know in what capacity you are seeing
her - and you need to have it clear in your own mind, also.

Either way - keep good notes, good luck and enjoy.
