This morning's paper had a very long obituary of a mother who died y'day;
her first child, a son was born a month ago--conceived after she had
given up on infertility treatments. It reminded me of Kathy D's friend,
who died of lung cancer after giving birth--the same thing happened here,
but they didn't figure it out until after the baby was born. Anyway, this
woman worked at the newspaper, so it was a very long article with two
photos, including one of her with the baby . The writer stated what
happened after she was diagnosed: "The next days were a nightmare blend
of delight and despair; she nursed her son as long as her treatment
permitted."
