Hello,

I am taking care of a Mom who is going to resume working, she will work in a
nuclear plant, AND she will have to work in "contaminated" area. (that, she
did not do before getting pregnant, she took another job in the nuclear
plant).

My bibles "Lawrence 2006" and "Core 2007" gave me nothing for that subject
(only radioactive diagnosis/treatment), and I lent the Riordan 2009 so that
I have no information after 1999 ("old" Riordan, with studies on European
milk after Chernobyl saying the breast milk was okay but no thresholds).

Has anyone the possibility to transmit me the thresholds of what/how much
she can "receive" per day, knowing the fact that she will spend several days
per week working in contaminated area, (contaminated area which is supposed
to be safe anyway), or is there a regulation: whatever is received, no
breastfeeding for those who work in contaminated area? I have searched a
lot, mostly found radioactiv treatments/diagnosis or chemicals pollution.

Further more: I am afraid her administration obligates the arrest of
breastfeeding for her return. From what she said, I have the feeling the
boss requests she has weaned before working.

Our option is a very, very big milk bank to nourrish the baby whenever she
resumes working.

I would like your wise advices, and maybe some tips?

Warmly,
Breast regards,
