I have been reading the differing opinions regarding foremilk, hindmilk,
one breast, two breasts. I feel that every mom and baby situation is
different and that every theory discussed is one plan of feeding that
may be considered after a thorough history and evaluation. Follow up
and reevaluating is a key as well since observing a breastfeeding is
only one feeding in time. I dont like "rules" when it comes to forming
a breastfeeding plan of care. I prefer to explain to mothers how to
evaluate feedings and make the follow up changes as they see necessary.
