Marilyn Grams  M.D.
Describes reverse cycle feeding . The baby nurses frequently at night and
goes to the care giver so stuffed that he doesn't need much while mom is
gone. The mom doesn,t need to pump as much either. The mom uses weekends
to build back up her suppply for the week ahead. I think it would be very
difficult to maintain a nursing relationship WITHOUT doing  the reverse
cycle feeding. It seems to work well for the moms in this book. However,
some moms I have talked to don,t like the idea of more night feedings at
all. They might not realize that you dont have to wake up to nurse.
