Kara asked for sources of photos of a premature baby in kangaroo care.

If you can access Lactation Matters, ("official blog of the International Lactation Consultant Association")

 at http://lactationmatters.org/

and then scroll down to the October 23, 2012 entry, titled, "The Power of Milk Donation at Milk Matters in South Africa," by Louise Goosen, IBCLC, there are two beautiful photos of skin to skin holding accompanying the article. They are by Vladia Bajerovska, and are copyrighted. One is of a single baby, the other of twins. The single baby might be a near-term infant, but the twins look like preemies.

You could contact the author and ask if and how it might possible to obtain permission to use the photos. The bio provided with the article says that Louise Goosen has been an active member of the South African Kangaroo Mothercare Foundation since its inception in 2002. She is chairperson of the milk bank and does Kangaroo Mother Care training for medical, physiotherapy, dietetic and nursing students. For 10 years she was the resident IBCLC and BFHI co-coordinator, trainer and assessor at Mowbray Maternity Hospital. She has also been chairperson of the South Africa Breast Feeding Association for the past ten years. So she must have access to many good photos. These two are especially compelling portraits.

There is also a lovely photo in the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition handout titled, "It's my Birthday, Give Me a Hug" which you can see at http://massbreastfeeding.org/index.php/handouts/ It is also in their handout called "First Hug." http://massbreastfeeding.org/pdf/FirstHug_letter.pdf
This photo is also copyrighted, and is by Pascale Wowak (2006). This is a full term baby, but a wonderful photo of skin-to-skin holding. On the web site you can download or purchase these handouts. I'd ask them how to get permission to use the photo for your purposes.
