Jenny, prostaglandins affect smooth muscle activity of
the milk ducts and can affect the gut. I have heard
of a woman who had persistant diarrhea for the first
couple months of breastfeeding each child. Search the
archives and see what else has been suggested for
nausea, but I dont' think there has been a lot.

The mother may be less affected by nausea this time.
she may have less profound let-downs or she may become
less sensitive to the affect of prostaglandins more
quickly. I would suggest that she nibble on easy food
while nursing. Or try something salty. Yesterday my
dental tech put salt underneath my tongue to do
x-rays. I have a strong gag reflex and the salt
helped immensely.

If food and salt dont' help, a soothing tummy tea like
strong ginger tea might. If those don't, she could
experiment with ibuprofen because it slows smooth
muscle activity.

please update us.
