Dear Lactnetters,

I recently filed complaints against Nestle, Mead Johnson and Ross/Abbott
Labs through the Better Business Bureau regarding misleading advertising
in print and on television (DHA & ARA claims that their new prodcuts are
indeed necessary for brain and eye devel and are very similar to
breastmilk, etc). I was contacted and was informed that my complaint
against Nestle has been fowarded to the National Ad Review:

I requested that my other two complaints also be fwd'd there as well. I
actually already received a response back from a Mead Johnson rep who
calims that they are only advertising their product to compete with other
F companies, and that they "support and promote breastfeeding in many
ways." All three of these complaints will be driven as deeply as I can
possibly force on my own, equiped with information gathered from reputable
sources.
