..."Mom told me the
medication is not her concern, that she is not going to breastfeed b/c
she has "major hypothyroidism."  She stated after her first child was
born, whenever she would put the baby to breast, she would break out in
a sweat, and sometimes pass out. "

This bit of information makes me wonder if there is some other thing going on here, possiby unrecognized emotional conflicts with breasts/body image or breastfeeding, or even a repressed sexual abuse memory?
