Hi!

I admit I am not :) the best person to evaluate this kind of "bra".

You'd all be so surprised, I think ;) , how hard it is to find a
hospital grade or a rental pump over here. I have pumped literally
thousands of times with my hand pump (Avent Isis), and have never :)
even tried an electronic pump. Most moms who pump for their babies
don't have an access to an electronic pump, they use simple hand
pumps, many prefer Avent Isis to other brands.

We don't have an insurance system like yours, so if someone wants an
electronic pump, she either buys a smaller one for full price (I don't
think Lactina, PIS or others are even available, just some cheapest
and simplest), or if she is lucky, gets one from the hospital for rent
for a few weeks, or if she lives in one of the bigger cities, she
might be able to find a rental pump.

When you don't have electronic double pumps, you have to make the hand
pumps work :) . More, I have heard some mothers saying they got more
milk and faster with Avent Isis than with a hospital grade pump. I
also know several mothers who pumped successfully for their more or
less prematurely born babies with a hand pump.

So, while I haven't ever even tried double pumping, I understand that
when comparing double pumping & keeping the flanges at place by hand
TO double pumping & having a "bra" holding the flanges at place, the
latter one sounds more practical :) .

Though, I still think with hand pumping one is able to move around
easier :) , read a morning newpaper, brush teeth, help kids dressing
up, brush their hair, run to separate fighting kids ;) . At work the
concept of own rooms sounds nice, but e.g. at my workplace we have an
"open office" :) and no big nice restrooms but only one tiny ladies
room (the table wouldn't be big enough for an electric pump ;). Plus,
a hand pump is silent :) .

But obviously some people benefit from this kind of products :) .
