I tried to post this yesterday and it didn't go through.  Now, I see others have posted a reporting from WebMD of the same study.  This is just a different reporting of the study, along with one on Epidural analgesia just so that we can all get our undies in a wad for the weekend!
Here are two articles, one of which Naomi asked about, that  I just got which make me sad  and angry for the messages they send to parents and professionals.  The first is about baby sleep "problems".  I just wonder how they made the jump from "Many Western parents find infant and child night waking
to be a source of substantial stress, both for themselves and their relationships with their children" to calling this the baby's sleep "problem".

The second is on use of epidurals and some supposedly good effect they have on acid/base balance in newborns.  The article concludes with this statement by the authors, "It is important to dispel the notion than epidural analgesia is in some way harmful to babies".  Here's the link,
