Hi all,

My youngest had to have braces and my oldest should have had them. Mary's bite isn't terrible, but some of her teeth are crowded. (We were too broke to afford them when Mary was growing up.) Mary and Rachel breastfed longer than did their sisters with normal bites and none of them took pacifiers or had bottles. Breastfeeding may help promote a good bite, but it doesn't absolutely prevent malocclusion.

Warmly,
Carol Kelley, in cold, rainy Taylors SC USA and looking forward to a weather report from Rachel in snowy Vermont
