I would imagine that the small transformers would work for a breastpump.
These days you can get a transformer for about $ 20 that weighs only a
few ounces and is very small.  They can take up to 1600 watts, if memory
serves me. I have asked my electrical engineer son (currently in Israel
where the current is 220V - 50 cycle) if there would be any problems.
With a transformer any pump should be OK.  You can email me directly for
