Leslie,
What were your preemie's stools like, that the staff thought it "went right
through?".  I think it is possible that this kid finally got a decent bolus of
milk and had a normal gastrocolic rxn, (milk in stomach, colon contracts), the
reason most bf neonates stool a lot.  If baby did not pass unchanged milk, I
would doubt that "digested nothing" theory.
Poor family!
