ime iron bisglycinate (chelated iron from Albion Labs) works *very*
quickly to reverse severe anemia.   one recent mom had a severe pph, hgb
was 6.9, ferritin was 6 - ugh.  That was January 17th.  Two weeks later
her hgb was 13.5 and her ferritin was 42.   No constipation, no stomach
distress.

this stuff is great.  my two fave brands specifically are Hematinic by
Solgar (preferred) or Hemaplex by Nature's Plus.

They're both inexpensive and available online or locally in health food
stores.  Hemaplex is easier to find.
